"This is a reality," Kanye West told a radio DJ last month. "I'm living inside of a dream world."
Truer words have never been spoken about West and his bride-to-be, Kim Kardashian, as they plan their nuptials next summer at -- wait for it -- the Palace of Versailles. Yes, Kanye and Kim intend to exchange vows where King Louis XVI married Marie Antoinette, back in 1770. And like their forebearers of opulence 250 years ago, they'll stage an extravagant and fashionable affair. "They are not working with a budget," an "insider" told Us Weekly. Fighter jets have been mentioned.
Speculation over her wedding dress has already begun, but one thing's for sure: West will have a say in what it looks like. Remember this?
And the answer to your next question is: Yes, the couple is considering filming the ceremony for a TV special. "If they choose to film the wedding, it will be filmed by them, not a TV crew," a source told The Huffington Post. "And they'd sell it to a network." Remember, Kardashian's an old pro at this -- Kim's Fairytale Wedding to Kris Humphries two years ago drew 10.5 million viewers and broke ratings records for E!.
No matter who Kim's marrying in any given year, E! stands to make money. Even Kanye's over-the-top marriage proposal was filmed "for possible broadcast on E!," home of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. No doubt West, who has likened himself to God, will want to out-class Kardashian's first wedding and TV special. What will their wedding look like? Just take a look at her last one (below) and imagine it… bigger. Much bigger.
You just know that Kardashian's next wedding will be an affair that would make Marie Antoinette jealous!
