No one can blame Kim Kardashian for being a bit disillusioned with love and marriage after her supposed fairy-tale union with Kris Humphries ended after only 72 days. But in a new interview with Glamour, the reality starlet reveals that she's not only swearing off love for the time being; she also might have given up on her dream to have children!
"I always wanted what Mom and Dad had. And at first I was like, I want six kids. Then I went down to four, then I was down to three... and now I'm like, maybe I won't have any. Maybe I’ll just be a good aunt," Kim, 31, says. "At this moment in my life, I feel like maybe I’m not supposed to have kids and all that."
Kim's sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian were also onhand for the interview, and even they were taken aback by their middle sis' statement. "Oh my God. Don't be dramatic all of a sudden!" Khloe, 27, exclaims.
Kim goes on to add that while she'll probably always be a "hopeless romantic," her attitude toward love hasn't emerged unscathed from this ordeal. "I believe in love and the dream of having a perfect relationship, but my idea of it has changed," she says. "I think I need to not live in a fairy tale like that. I think I maybe need to just snap out of it and be a little more realistic."
Once again, Khloe is there to support her sister, insisting: "I believe you'll get (love) again."
For now, however, Kim is still riding out the storm. The public, meanwhile, got an inside look at Kardashian and Humphries' crumbling marriage in the season 2 premiere of Kourtney and Kim Take New York -- and, as iVillage pointed out, a major factor in the breakup seems to have been Kim and Kris' inability to act like mature adults. At least is sounds like Kim now realizes that it's time to grow up.
