It has been more than six months since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, and she would really like her ex Kris Humphries to just finalize their split already.
Kardashian (who announced her intention to divorce Humphries on Oct. 31, 2011 -- after their now-infamous 72-day marriage) wants to move on, but she is still bound to Humphries until he signs on the dotted line to formally end their marriage.
"I feel that [Humphries'] personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping this case alive," Laura Wasser said, adding that the exes are now officially eligible for a divorce because it has been more than six months since Kardashian's filing.
Complicating manners is the fact that Humphries, 27, filed for an annulment in November, claiming their marriage was a fraud without detailing any specific examples to back up his claim.
The lawyer warned that Humphries faces a considerable financial loss if the fraud case goes to trial and he loses because Kardashian has asked for him to pay her legal fees if she wins.
"Certainly they've been separated longer than they've been married," the lawyer asserted to the judge.
Neither Kardashian nor Humphries attended the legal proceedings on Friday -- in which a judge determined that Humphries' Minnesota attorney would be allowed to take part in the case.
Kardashian has definitely moved on in her personal life. She is currently dating hip hop mogul Kanye West.
