When Kim Kardashian said during a recent interview that baby daddy Kanye West had taught her the value of privacy, we definitely didn't expect to see the two of them posing together naked on the cover of a French magazine just one week later. But this is a Kardashian we're talking about -- did you really think a little thing like a pregnancy was going to keep her inside?
West, 35, and Kardashian, 32, posed together for France's L'Officiel Hommes, and it's pretty much the raciest we've ever seen the couple. Both seem to be in the nude (though there's a chance that could just be a photographer's magic) and are embracing in what looks to be a, ahem, baby-making manner. Her tousled hair completes the whole sexed-up look.
Most people would consider this to be just about the most private moment two people could share with the world. Yet Kimye felt it was acceptable to pose for this shoot and have it be on the cover of a magazine. On a normal day we would think that West and Kardashian were simply being a little scandalous here, but considering Kardashian is something like four months pregnant, we're a bit surprised they decided to go this route. Or not.
Kardashian could just be trying to shirk the stereotypical constrains of "the pregnant woman." She also recently posed for Cosmopolitan and wore a high-waisted pair of white shorts with a belly-baring top. (Where's that baby bump, again?) During the interview with the mag, she admits, "2013 for me is about scaling back. I want to focus on the few projects that I’m super passionate about and not spread myself too thin."
Well, we'll believe it when we see it. Kardashian also recently told DuJour magazine that she's not going to continue starring in Keeping Up with the Kardashians past Season 9, which seems a bit doubtful. As for that privacy quote, she claimed that she's going to be "less open" going forward. Less open as in ... not posing like you're having sex with your boyfriend on a French magazine cover?
"My boyfriend has taught me a lot about privacy," Kardashian said. "I'm ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships. I'm realizing everyone doesn't need to know everything. I'm shifting my priorities."
As long as they involve a camera, she means.
