Ms. Tardy for the Party was tardy with the check.
Kim Zolciak from Real Housewives of Atlanta had her single, "Tardy for the Party," removed from iTunes on Monday afternoon after being hit with a lawsuit by producer Don Vito.
"The song was number three on iTunes for the last four days, but since Don Vito owns the copyright to the song and he hasn't been paid, he requested that the song be taken down off iTunes," a source told E! News.
Does anyone on the Real Housewives of Atlanta NOT have money issues?
If that’s not bad enough, in an interview last week, NeNe Leakes told People.com that "Tardy for the Party" was her song.
"Well it’s Kim [with] Kandi’s help. Kandi changed it from country to dance and so Kandi has a lot of beats going on in the back so you can’t really hear her… It's not about the vocal — it's more about the beat," Leakes explained. "When you are singing country, it is more about the voice. I can’t wait for you guys to see that episode. I think you guys are going to feel for me. 'Tardy For The Party' was my song. Now she’s doing 'Tardy For The Party,' and I’m not on it. I don’t care if I’m not on it."
At this rate, Zolciak’s album might never be released. If she didn’t pay Vito, there may be others that worked with her whom she owes money to.
It's a shame because, secretly, the song was kind of catchy.
