Kindergarten: How to Help

Kindergarten • Ask about specific activities from the school day: For example, ask children if they painted a picture, what books were read or if they built a building with blocks.

• Read one or two easy books every day. While you are reading aloud, point out references to the pictures.

• Limit extra activities to ones that are fun and not overly structured. For example, soccer may be a good choice if the coaches de-emphasize the rules.
