Last week they lost their footing; this week they lost a shoe!
Dancing with the Stars' Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy experienced more bad luck on the ballroom floor, as Alley's shoe fell off during their waltz.
"You are the queen of the unexpected mishap!" Carrie Ann Inaba told Alley, 60, after her waltz with partner Maks. But the judge still managed to give the couple a compliment. "Oddly, when the shoe fell off and you put it back on, you had so much more joy (than you did with both shoes on)."
Bruno Tonioli agreed that the pair was impressive while facing adversity.
"I thought you did amazingly well!" he cheered. "You're light on your feet and you got great musicality -- in spite of what happened you did a fantastic performance! Proud!"
The couple ultimately earned 22 out of 30 points, but not all of the judges were impressed with Kirstie and Maks' abilities.
"Everything was okay, but everything needs to improve," grumbled Len Goodman. "Posture is okay, needs to be stronger. Your footwork is okay, but it needs to be cleaner. Movement is okay, needs to flow more."
Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel had the lowest total score of the night with an 18, while Disney star Chelsea Kane and her partner Mark Ballas earned the high score of 26 points from the judges. (We're guessing Ballas' fancy footwork made his new rumored girlfriend, American Idol's Pia Toscano, proud!)
