We make no bones about the importance of a fantastic frame — both for "good carriage" and for protection against disorders like osteoporosis, or lowered bone mass. Over eight million women in America have the disorder, which causes brittle bones and makes us prone to fractures that can be fatal.

Those with especially acute risk:
  • underweight white women (think ladies who lunch)
  • those with a family history of the disorder
  • those who smoke or drink beyond moderation
