Kris Humphries Still Won't Give Kim Kardashian a Divorce! 4 Good Reasons To Let It Go

We're hoping that if anybody can get through to this guy it's us -- we outline the simple reasons why we think the baller needs to walk away from this mess

For a guy who gave up on marriage after 72 days, Kris Humphries is pretty stubborn. The Brooklyn Nets player is still refusing to grant Kim Kardashian a divorce, sixteen months after she filed the papers. Instead, he insists that the marriage should be annulled. The difference? To get the marriage annulled, Kim would have to say that she deliberately defrauded him into marrying her and had no intention of ever making it work.

"Kris only wants an annulment," a source told People on Thursday. "He never wanted to be married more than once and he feels like she cheated him out of the chance to have a real, loving marriage."

And even though Kim has a baby on the way with Kanye West, Humphries refuses to compromise.

"He feels that even if she's pregnant, she still has to deal with the mess she made," says the source. "He thinks their entire marriage was a fraud, and he's not going to just give up because of the situation."

We're just going to come out and say it: it's time to give up, Kris. We already made the case earlier this week that Humphries should throw in the towel, but just in case he's not a big reader, here are four good reasons presented in handy list form.

1. Kim will never say that she faked the marriage... even if it's true. If Kim were to admit that she deliberately staged a part of her life for the sake of ratings, the entire Kardashian house of kards would fall down around her. Kim is adamant that she married for love, and she will not waver from that story for a second; her whole brand depends on it.

2. Kris is only making Kim look better. If his intention is to ruin Kim's reputation, then it's completely backfiring. By being so thoroughly vindictive, Kris is making himself look like the bad guy, and Kim the innocent victim. She couldn't have planned it better herself.

3. There's a baby in the equation. Regardless of his feelings about Kim and Kanye, Kris is now dragging a whole family through the mud. That's not a fair burden to put on an innocent kid or his mom.

4. That "fake" marriage took two. Bottom line: Humphries didn't have to marry a girl he'd only been dating a few months. He didn't have to stage his proposal for cable TV. He didn't have to agree to the televised wedding special. He knew exactly what he was getting into when he married a Kardashian, and so did the rest of America. So what's the point he's trying to make, exactly? That he's kind of slow? Because that's what's coming across.

At the moment, Kim is continuing to push for an immediate divorce trial, telling the court that there was "no fraud" on her part, and that she wants to "move on with [her] life." Humphries would be wise to do the same.
