Justin Bieber may sing about being a great "Boyfriend," but he's not so hot as a neighbor. During a visit to The View on Thursday, Hollywood couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard revealed that they live in a house adjacent to the one the teen idol is renting. And while they were excited when the 18-year-old pop sensation first moved in, the reality of living with Biebermania has now hit home.
"There's not necessarily like a love-hate feud [between us]," Bell, 32, qualified. "Well, a little bit of hate."
"The music and the parties and the paparazzi, I mean, it's like living in Lebanon now," Shepard, 37, joked.
Shepard, who wrote and directed the couple's new comedy Hit & Run, had been a Belieber himself before Justin got on his bad side.
"A friend of ours made the Bieber documentary, so we went to support [director] Jon Chu. So didn't I fall in love with Justin Bieber during that documentary!" Shepard gushed. "I had cried and laughed 90 times during the first five minutes, I left with complete Bieber Fever."
Now, though, he's reluctant to even speak to the Biebs about his blaring speakers.
"I know myself well enough that once I go over to the neighbors' house, all hell's breaking loose. It's best I don't get myself into those situations to begin with," he said.
"In [Justin's] defense, I will say we don't know the exact house the music is coming from," Bell added. "We just know, since he moved in, the music has been blaring. And it's not like super late-night parties, it's just a lot of music all the time."
For Bell, though, it's "the paparazzi thing" that's really aggravating, because she and her fiance are now paparazzi targets by proxy. As Shepard put it, "They'll be bored waiting for Bieber to wake up and we come outside..."
Maybe Justin Bieber should consider adding some soundproof hedges to his border? You know what they say about fences and good neighbors.
