Was Kristen Stewart's affair just a "momentary indiscretion," as she claimed -- or had she been cheating on Robert Pattinson for months? Last week, after the actress was caught on camera kissing her married Snow White & the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, E! News reported that the romance did not begin on set. However, Sanders' brother-in-law Leopold Ross is telling a different story.
"It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week," says Leopold, the younger brother of Sanders' wife Liberty Ross.
If Leopold's version of events is true, that means that the affair began around November of last year, when Snow White was shooting. However, another family member -- Rupert's father, Michael -- has told the press that "it was just a fling" and "there was no affair." And then there is Stewart's apology, which referred to the whole thing as a "momentary indiscretion."
However long the affair went on, it seems to have devastated Pattinson, who reportedly moved out of the home he shared with Stewart last week. Kristen now appears to have followed suit and packed her own bags. A U-Haul truck was spotted pulling away from their L.A. property on Saturday. People has reported that the couple is no longer speaking to each other, while RadarOnline claims that Pattinson "wants to have a man to man chat with Rupert" to find out what really happened.
"Kristen has already betrayed his trust by cheating, so he can't be sure that she will tell him exactly what went on between her and Rupert," says the website's source. "Rupert has a wife and a family to save, so Rob feels like he has nothing left to lose and would be honest with him."
Pattinson has not given any sort of public statement about the cheating scandal, but another celebrity claims she knows what he's going through. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, whose marriage ended when husband Eddie Cibrian had an on-set romance with LeAnn Rimes, says the Robsten situation is giving her flashbacks.
"I'm not happy with this K stew BS.2 close to home," Glanville tweeted on Wednesday. "Same story, friends with the wife and kids& f*** the husband wen we think no one is looking... My last quote of the day on this subject- Home-wreckers come in pairs #ittakes2."
Twilight costars Stewart and Pattinson may no longer live together, but they still have to work together. They're scheduled to make their next promotonal appearance together in a little over a month, co-presenting a Moonman at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 9.
