The sparkly vampire is out of the bag!
During a photo shoot for the magazine, the 21-year-old Twilight starlet admitted to her interviewer that she was looking forward to exploring the U.K. while filming Snow White and the Huntsman "because my boyfriend is English."
It's not exactly a full-blown, "Yes, Rob and I are dating and in love and are going to make little babies named Edward and Bella" -- but it's the closest either of the lovebirds has come to verbally admitting their relationship in public. (And, let's be honest, who else could this Brit beau of Stewart's be?)
Of course, Stewart regretted her accidental admission almost immediately. "I never would have said that if I knew you were interviewing me," she told the writer -- during her proper interview -- the day after the photo shoot. Still, she knows that she and Pattinson, 25, aren't really fooling anyone at this point. "So much of my life is so easily Googled," Stewart laughed. "I mean, it's like, 'Come on guys, it's so obvious!'"
Rumors of a romance between the two Twilight Saga leads were sparked almost as soon as the first movie started filming back in 2008. The exact date that Pattinson and Stewart got together is unclear, but it's Hollywood's worst-kept secret that the two have been dating for several years. Stewart admits in the interview that she's been hesitant to come clean about their relationship because she knows it would be met with a skeptical response.
"I don't think you realize what a big deal it is for people. Well, it is a big deal. They would be 'Oh. My. God.' There would also be still a 50/50 split," Stewart says. "Some people would still be, 'See, told you they're not together.'"
She also says that she likes to keep her relationships to herself, and doesn't want to share her love story to the world.
"I'm selfish. I'm like, 'That's mine!' And I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way," she explains. "It's a funny little game to play and it's a slippery slope. I always say to myself I'm never going to give anything away because there's never any point or benefit for me."
As the Twilight films wind to a close -- Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 hits theaters Nov. 18, and Part 2 arrives Nov. 16, 2012 -- it seems like Stewart and Pattinson are getting closer and closer to truly going public with their love. Maybe someday soon they'll even kiss intentionally for the paparazzi. Perhaps at the red-carpet premiere of the series' final film? Twihards can only dream.
