It's been a pretty long time since we got a status update about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's relationship. After presenting a unified front on the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 red carpet, the royal couple of supernatural romance has barely been seen in public. While our inner skeptics took this as proof that Summit Entertainment had contractually told them to act as if they were hopelessly in love with each other for the last leg of The Twilight Saga's promotional run, a new report claims that the couple has actually used this private time to get their relationship back on track.
But -- love died when it was revealed that Stewart cheated on Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, right? There was no way her real-life Edward Cullen would actually take her back after that -- or were we mistaken? According to E! News, the couple is "absolutely still together. They are totally fine." Who saw that one coming?
These two are seemingly are so fine that Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, reportedly talk on the phone and text daily. They haven't been seen together recently because Pattinson has been in Australia shooting The Rover. Stewart, meanwhile, appeared solo at the Oscars to present the Academy Award for best production design. And the implication from this insider is that distance has indeed made their hearts grow fonder.
"She is counting down the minutes until he is home," the source says. How very Bella of her!
