Her top tips: Involve the kids. "I started on a healthy path for my daughter -- so part of losing the weight was having fun with her! Every time we play, dance and jump together, I stop to smile in appreciation and satisfaction that I’m able to do those things with her. Because I wanted to be active with her, I was motivated to keep going."
Use social networking to your advantage. "Social networks have been a huge part of my success. Using the Weight Watchers community, Facebook, Twitter and my blog, I tell people my goals and it holds me accountable. Also, it gives me ideas for new goals to set for myself."
Find exercise you love. "I am completely bored on a stationary bike so that's not part of my workout routine. I take classes at the gym any chance I get. I'm constantly purchasing new workout DVDs such as kettlebell workouts, Turbo Fire and Insanity. There are also all kinds of dance workouts on game consoles, Netflix, and Comcast. There are fun options for people at all levels of exercise."
Surround yourself with people with similar goals as yourself. "It may sound harsh, but if your best friend is encouraging you to take a 'cheat day' every three days then you may need to reevaluate your friendship. Having people with similar goals keeps your health and wellness in the forefront of your mind at all times and if you're constantly thinking about it, then you're constantly doing it. Make friends with people who want to hang out by exercising or simply taking a walk outside instead of going out to eat."
