According to Women's Wear Daily, the women are wearing their new creations in this photo. Lauper’s is a "light coral red," while Gaga’s pushing a "bubble-gummy pink." Both retail for $14 and are now available in MAC stores. The lipsticks are named for the women, and their signatures are scrawled on the lipstick tubes.
“We want to make this trendy and fun. We don’t want this discussion of AIDS to become this overly intellectual discussion, because we need to make discussions about AIDS really normal,” Gaga said. “Sex education should be bright and vibrant and every woman should want to have this in her purse.”
In addition to promoting the lipsticks, both women are expected to make personal appearances on behalf of the cause and raise awareness for women.
"People think if you’re strong about your sexuality, you must have a d--k,” Gaga said. “And that’s what this is about. You can be strong about your sexuality and be a smart woman who wears lipstick and high heels and looks pretty.”
