PHOTO: Lady Gaga Dresses in Drag for New Single Cover

The pop star portrays her male alter ego, Jo Calderone, on the cover of her next single, "You and I"

Lady Gaga is known for disguising herself in outrageous costumes -- but this one just might take the cake.

Dressed in drag, the singer, 25, is virtually unrecognizable as she portrays her male alter ego, Jo Calderone, on the cover of her new single "You and I." The photos show Gaga (a.k.a. "Jo") sporting greasy hair, smoking cigarettes and glaring into the camera.

We first met Jo Calderone last summer when he mysteriously appeared in the pages of Japan's Vogue Hommes magazine. It seems Gaga has decided to share her masculine side with the world yet again.

"You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don't love yourself. #You&ISingleCover," Gaga wrote when she shared the photo via Twitter on Aug. 5.

Last week, the pop star teased that she'd be sharing the music video for "You and I" as her 1,000th tweet. She's currently at 992 -- so we don't have long to wait to find out whether we'll see Lady Gaga or Jo Calderone (or both!) shaking it on camera.
