Three days of living and sleeping in a giant egg before the Grammys wasn't enough for Lady Gaga. According to the U.K. newspaper The Daily Mirror, the idiosyncratic singer is revamping her New York City apartment, and instead of a normal bed, Mother Monster will catch those Z's in a custom designed remake of her "birthing vessel" from last month. What an egg-cellent idea!
Gaga is reportedly shelling out $2.5 million to redesign her condo into a shrine to her many stage personas. The 24-year-old icon apparently felt so "at peace" in her stage egg that she wants to replicate the feeling in her everyday life.
"The egg vessel is being made especially for her," a source says. "She'll be able to sleep in it, in place of a double bed."
"She felt so at home in the egg on stage -- she spent hours in it meditating and says when she's in it she feels at peace." The pop star's new apartment will also feature alien sculptures, paying homage to her new "Born This Way" video in which she gives birth to a new race. She's also reportedly collected artifacts from her travels around the world, including masks and bones, to display in her new nest.
Sounds like it'll be difficult for Gaga's Little Monsters to pick out housewarming gifts for her new haunt!
