Days after Lady Gaga admitted that she's gained 25 pounds while on tour, the outrageous pop star posted a stark photograph of herself in underwear, with the caption, "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15." (Click here to see the full-body shot.)
The photo appears in a new photo gallery that Gaga created Tuesday on her "Little Monsters" website that she hopes will encourage body acceptance. The next photo in the gallery shows Gaga wearing the same lingerie but stretching, with the caption, "But today I join the BODY REVOLUTION."
Last week, Gaga admitted to radio host Elvis Duran that she's had to watch what she eats while touring. She also shot down rumors that her weight gain was due to pregnancy. "I love eating pizza and pasta," she told Duran.
Gaga appears to have created the Body Revolution photo gallery as a response to all of the negative publicity about her weight -- as well as a way to fight the sort of eating disorders that have affected her.
At the top of the gallery, Gaga wrote, "My mother and I created the BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION for one reason: to inspire bravery. This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."
Her brutally honest photo and eating disorder confession have encouraged her fans to submit their own photos to her site. The Little Monsters describe themselves as proud of their bodies despite surgery scars, prosthetic limbs and other "imperfections."
One photograph shows Gaga's "assistant and best friend" Sonja with lines drawn on her torso to guide her upcoming breast cancer operation. A caption describes her surgery and radiation treatment. "Yesterday was the first day of radiation," Gaga wrote, "Looking good b*tch. She is so brave."
