Lady Gaga is determined to give her fans a good show, even if she gets knocked around a little. On Sunday, during a show in Auckland, New Zealand, the pop singer was hit on the head by a prop and sustained a concussion. Amazingly, she finished the show anyway. Watch video of the incident below.
In the video, Gaga can be seen getting hit with a pole while performing "Judas" with a dancer. Though she only stopped singing for a moment, she made a quick exit into the scenery.
"I want to apologize," Gaga told the audience when she returned to the stage. "I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don't you worry -- I will finish this show."
She made good on her promise, and it wasn't easy: There were 16 songs left in Gaga's set! Later on, her makeup artist Tara Savelo checked in with fans on Twitter.
"Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay," Savelo tweeted. "She wants u to know she loves u. I'm taking care of her.cant believe she finished the show."
The "Born This Way" singer has been known to push herself on tour at the expense of her health, much to the chagrin of her friends -- including her godson's father Elton John.
"She is frail, and she doesn't eat when she should do, and she's a girl, and it's tougher for a girl," John said of Gaga in a recent interview. "She works really hard. She will be in Denmark one night and Saudi Arabia the next. I know how tiny she is and I do worry about her, yes."
Gaga isn't scheduled to play her next show, in Australia, until Wednesday. We hope she takes a couple days to rest up!
