WATCH: Lady Gaga's New "Judas" Video!

The boundary-pushing pop star plays a lingerie-wearing Mary Magdalene in this controversial new music video

Lady Gaga has made it clear that the video for her latest single "Judas" is "not meant to be a biblical lesson." But even though the pop star doesn't see the controversial video as a religious statement, we're guessing a whole lot of people will!

In the video, which Ryan Seacrest premiered via Twitter Thursday afternoon, Gaga leads a gang of bikers (meant to be Jesus' 12 apostles) through the streets. The pop star portrays biblical character Mary Magdalene and Boondock’s Saints star Norman Reedus plays Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus in the bible.

In addition to a slew of religious references (including "Jesus" sporting a crown of thorns while Gaga washes his feet), the video also has all the elements of a classic Gaga video: multiple wardrobe changes, Gaga throwing up her "monster paws" and several catchy, new dance moves. (Although, someone needs to tell Taylor Swift that Gaga has stolen her signature heart hands!)
