Last week I told you guys that the gals on Gilmore Girls might be calling it quits after seven years on the hit drama. But now I'm hearing Stars Hollow might not be closing up shop just yet. Check out tonight's episode and you might notice something different during the opening credits. Not only will Lauren Graham, who plays the ever so splendid Lorelai Gilmore, get her regular credit of "Lauren Graham," but she'll get a bonus credit as "Lauren Graham, Producer." This is a really big deal. Not a lot of TV stars get to play a role in the producing side of the show they're on. Just off the top of my head the only other celebs that have scored that cache have been Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex And The City and Jerry Seinfeld on Seinfeld. So is this a bargaining tool for Lauren to get more responsibility and a way for the CW to sweeten her up to come back for an eighth season? In an interview with TV Guide last summer Lauren hinted that if perhaps the CW would give a fancier title (fancier than TV Star?) she might consider it: "Graham made no secret of her desire to see her Gilmore role expand. 'I would like to be a producer on the show, but that's not anything [Warner Bros.] is gonna let me do,' she said at the time. 'I think, at this point, any request [might lead to a] 'Well, if you want something then we want an eighth season' kind of thing."
