Because She's Worth It! Lea Michele Is New L'Oreal Paris Makeup Spokeswoman

The Glee actress is "happy and excited and thrilled" to put her best face forward for the global beauty brand

Already a fashionista on the red carpet, Lea Michele is now ready to take on the world of beauty! The Glee actress has confirmed that she is the new face of L'Oreal Paris on her Twitter account.

"The rumors are true! So excited to be the new L'Oreal Paris Brand spokesperson!" she tweeted. "This is such an amazing honor! Im so happy and excited and thrilled to be a part of the @LOrealParisUSA family!"

L'Oréal Paris USA president Karen T. Fondu seems excited to have Michele on board as well. In a statement, she said that the woman better known as Rachel Berry is "a beautiful woman inside and out" and "truly exemplifies our brand philosophy, 'Because You're Worth It.'"

Michele has always been proud of the fact she hasn't fit into the Hollywood convention of beauty. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar last year, the star -- who is dating her on-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith -- opened up about being told she wasn't "pretty enough."

"How many managers told me, 'Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough?'" she said. "But I proved them wrong."

The 26-year-old has held herself together by acknowledging that she has her flaws and embracing them.

"People have to remember this is all new for us," she explained. "We’re all reasonably young … I’ve learned some lessons. But people are going to say what they want to say. I know who I am, and I’m not perfect."

Michele's first print and TV L'Oreal ads should start appearing in early 2013. She'll join the ranks of other L'Oreal spokeswomen like Beyonce, Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz.
