LeAnn Rimes: Another Twitter Quitter

The singer makes the decision to leave Twitter after receiving negative comments about her relationship with Eddie Cibrian

Just like Miley Cyrus and Emma Roberts before her, LeAnn Rimes can't take the heat of the Twitter universe -- so she's getting out!

"Taking a break from twitter for a while," Rimes, 27, Twittered on Wednesday. "It's unhealthy for me and my family to have to read negative comments from people whose opinions have no bearing on my life."

Rimes is reacting to the uproar that occurred when paparazzi photos surfaced of some steamy PDAs between her and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian. (There's even one of her straddling him in front of his young son!). "Since when is kissing your boyfriend a crime?!" she posted, after followers dogged her.

Rimes and Cibrian have been under a ton of public scrutiny since becoming an item in 2008, due to the fact that both were still married to their spouses at the time of their connection.

But the singer wanted to leave the Twitter-verse on a high note, posting one last positive message before signing off for good. "I love my fans so very much and will return one day soon," she wrote. "God bless to you all! I hope you understand. It's time for me to focus on healing, my happiness and my music. I can't wait to share it all with my fans soon!"

"There's a million other ways to stay connected with my fans and I plan to focus on those!" she added. "The most important, bringing you great music!"
