In either a desperate attempt to prevent his name from leaving the public dialogue or a sincere effort at being a good dad, Levi Johnston has announced that he's filing for joint custody of the child he fathered with Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol.
According to People.com, Levi told The Insider that the Palin family has made it nearly impossible for him to visit his 10-month-old son, Tripp.
"It's not working," he said. "I'm done. It's going to have to go to court. They just finally pushed me over the edge."
Whether the 19-year-old Alaskan will have any success getting his wishes legally granted is anyone's guess. A judge might not regard a fully nude spread in Playgirl magazine to be the mark of someone who is fit for parenthood. (Although we do have high hopes for ex-playmate and mama-to-be Kendra Wilkinson!)
There must have been an overwhelming amount of Ed Hardy attire in New York's Times Square yesterday. While Levi was there to tape his interview with The Insider, he allegedly ran into fellow media punching-bag, Jon Gosselin. (Perez Hilton has a photo of the two overexposed dudes sitting side-by-side.)
Levi is said to be filing his custody complaint at the end of the month. While no one can argue that he's the ideal role model for a child, he claims he hasn't really had a chance to prove his daddy skills.
Do you think its unfair for the Palins to keep Levi away from Tripp? Chime in below!
