Why We Love It: Not only is this a super-fun way to burn some daylight (hello, springing forward!), it's also an activity that keeps on giving. Ask your kids to keep a journal describing the birds they see and look them up online together. Or, just park them by the window and let them watch the aviary action.
What You'll Need: Play-Doh lids or any other small, plastic lid, yarn or string, scissors, glue gun, peanut butter and birdseed.
How to Do It: Lay out your lids on a tray, indented side down. With a hot glue gun, attach loops of ribbon to the back of the lids. Pour a bag of birdseed into a 9-by-13 inch pan, and spread peanut butter on the indented side of the lid. Dip the lids in birdseed. Hang your feeders where you can see them, and wait for the birds!
