Known for her elegant looks (hello, gorge Golden Globes gown and a nomination on the iVillage Entertainment Awards for flawless fashion!), Anne Hathaway showed off her more eclectic side of style at a recent screening for her new flick Rio, an animated movie about a bird in love. But did she go a little cuckoo's nest with this ensemble?
The cropped striped sweater and printed pants with ruffles, along with the necklace, are straight from Marni's Resort 2011 runway, while the cork wedges are by Casadei.
The kooky pants did elicit cries of "what was she thinking?!" -- although to me the look seems like the perfect playful choice to promote a quirky kids movie that adults will love. But maybe not for the Oscars, okay Anne?
