It seems that Lil' Kim is not a Nicki Minaj fan -- and the Trinidadian musician's bizarre Grammys performance did nothing to change her opinion. During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Kim, 37, was asked what she thought of Minaj's Exorcist-themed rendition of her new single, "Roman Holiday" -- and her response was a lil' bit blunt. Watch the clip below!
"I'm pretty sure I feel the same way everybody else feels right about now," said Lil' Kim (real name: Kimberly Denise Jones), joining in the collective head-scratching over Minaj's performance.
When host Andy Cohen mentioned that he'd gotten a ton of questions for her about Minaj (whose style is similar to that of the older rapper), Kim took an even bigger dig at her.
"If you have to make a song called 'Stupid Hoe,' you must be a stupid hoe," Kim said with a smile.
OK, considering that Lil' Kim has recorded two songs called "Queen Bitch," perhaps that wasn't the best argument to make. Still, it's not the worst thing people have said about Minaj's loopy performance, which featured dancing monks, demon possession, a priest in a confessional -- basically, everything but the communion font. The Catholic League denounced the number as blasphemous; critics, by and large, denounced it as lame. So what does Minaj (full name: Onika Tanya Maraj) have to say for herself?
"I don't know what is the big issue," Nicki told press at an event on Wednesday night.
"You know how people write plays and movies? That's what I did," she explained. "I wrote that and I gave the world a tiny little preview of what was to come."
That's right, world -- get ready for Nicki Minaj's Crazy Grammy Performance: The Movie! Minaj told Cosmo last October that she planned to win an Oscar in the near future, so her new project doesn't entirely come out of nowhere. Maybe she can get Lil' Kim to play the villain?
