Aren't you lucky to have a baby that will drink water. Especially in the summer, that is great. Babies can get thirsty too, and can end up overeating in their attempts to quench their thirst with formula or some other beverage. Too many parents turn to juice to do the job, end up filling their baby on juice, and then baby doesn't have enough room for the formula or breast milk that he really needs.

Four ounces is not too much water, even for a young baby. You may want to use bottled water from the store rather than tap water, particularly if you have well water. This way you can be sure the water is pure and safe. Bottoms up!
