Gasp -- is Lindsay Lohan finally going to get in trouble for her bad behavior? A Los Angeles judge has issued a bench warrant for the actress's arrest after she failed to appear at a probation hearing on Thursday. (Lohan, 23, is still on probation from her 2007 drunk driving conviction.) As always, Lohan has an excuse: she's claiming that she couldn't make it to the hearing because her passport was stolen. Once the alleged theft occurred, Lohan was stranded in France... during the party-heavy Cannes Film Festival. How convenient.
But the judge isn't letting Lohan off that easily. Saying that "actions speak louder than words" and that the actress has "a history of not keeping scheduled appointments," he's accusing her of violation of probation. That means that Lohan will not only be arrested when she returns to the U.S., but she'll be under strict court supervision until her violation-of-probation hearing. When and if Lohan posts her $100,000 bail, she'll be forbidden from drinking, fitted with an alcohol-detecting bracelet and subject to random drug testing at least once a week. As for the upcoming hearing: if a judge determines that she did indeed violate her probation, Lohan could be thrown in jail for 180 days. Could that be the wake-up call the troubled starlet needs?
Lohan will soon be returning to her home country, having been issued a temporary passport by the U.S. Embassy in France. Further proof that she causes trouble wherever she goes: two nights before her scheduled hearing, Lohan was seen flirting with actor Dominic Cooper. He and girlfriend Amanda Seyfriend announced their breakup the next day.
