Lindsay Lohan Is Briefly Hospitalized for Asthma Attack

After being rushed to the hospital, the actress is now "doing fine," says her rep

Linday Lohan was back in the hospital on Sunday night. The Liz & Dick actress, 26, was rushed to an emergency room in New York City on Sept. 23 for respiratory problems, TMZ reports.

The starlet had reportedly been telling friends she had a case of walking pneumonia -- but according to her rep, she was taken to the hospital for an asthma treatment.

After the asthma led to breathing issues, Lohan was "treated and released, and is doing fine," her rep tells People.

The troubled young actress has a history of health issues. She reportedly suffered from a case of exhaustion and dehydration in June on the set of her upcoming Elizabeth Taylor biopic. Shortly before that, she was hospitalized after receiving minor injuries in a car accident near the beach in Santa Monica, Calif.

In addition to her continued health problems, Lohan is also coming off of a recent arrest for leaving the scene of an accident last week in New York City.

She was also in the news for slamming fellow former child star Amanda Bynes for her strange slew of driving-related incidents.

"Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" the former child actress asked her Twitter followers.

Despite all of her negative publicity and illnesses, Lohan still has the premiere of Liz & Dick to look forward to later this fall. The Lifetime movie airs in November.
