After talking too much got Lindsay Lohan in trouble with the cops already this year, her publicity team is stopping the Liz & Dick star from potentially getting herself in more trouble until after her obstruction of justice case is over.
That means that Lohan's planned interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 isn't going to happen. The anticipated event was supposed to happen on Nov. 16, but now Deadline is reporting that LiLo has pulled out of it at the last minute because her new PR team was "dissatisfied with the direction ABC wanted to take the interview."
The original plan was to have Lohan promote her new Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick, and E! News reports that Walters even went to the set of the film while it was in production so they could shoot some footage for this interview. That material was supposed to be combined with "a new, no-holds-barred interview" that, together, would make an epic primetime special.
Well, that was all before Lohan was taken to court again over allegations that she lied to police following her car accident back in June in California. TMZ has learned that Lindsay's Rogers & Cowan PR team "felt it would be a mistake to put Lindsay in the hot seat ... where she could possibly say something that could screw up her case ... so they pulled the plug." The gossip site adds that Lohan "feels terrible" for canceling, and "wants to reschedule as soon as her team feels the time is right."
