Lindsay Lohan must not have received the memo about positive publicity. The actress missed a crucial flight and had to cancel her much-anticipated taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her Playboy spread.
The Playboy cover girl, 25, was scheduled to tape her Ellen guest spot (which was booked two months ago) on Dec. 13, but she was vacationing with her family in Hawaii and didn't make her return flight to Los Angeles, Us Weekly reports.
Originally, Hugh Hefner planned to have Lohan unveil the magazine cover and the pictorial on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show. But since the spread was leaked on the Internet, Hef moved up the newsstand date.
In the magazine profile, the starlet addresses her decision to do the nude Playboy photos.
"Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature," the troubled star says of her tribute to the late Marilyn Monroe's own Playboy pictorial. "Knowing yourself and your body is so important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence."
Although she missed her talk show gig, Lohan is also due in court tomorrow, and her rep Steve Honig confirms that she will be in attendance.
"Lindsay had a travel-related issue arise that took a few hours to sort out," he says. "It has been resolved and she will be back in Los Angeles in time for her court appearance."
