Lindsay Lohan is a cryin' shame. After a controversial visit to the Cannes Film Festival, the troubled actress said in a teary video released today by Hollywood.TV that she doesn't deserve to go back to rehab or do jail time.
Lohan, 23, has now been ordered by the court to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, People reports. The device, called SCRAM, monitors alcohol intake -- and the actress wore one voluntarily in 2007 stemming from her first DUI arrest. Lohan is also now subject to weekly random drug testing.
While Lohan's attorneys tried to argue in today's hearing that wearing the device would hinder upcoming photo and movie shoots, the judge stuck with the sentencing. A "nervous-looking" Lohan reportedly only replied with "Yes, your honor," in court.
The Mean Girls star was in hot water with the authorities after failing to show up to her hearing last Thursday. Lohan claimed her passport was stolen while she was at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France, and she claimed she was unable to return to Los Angeles in time. An arrest warrant was issued while Lohan partied in France, but it was dismissed when she posted the $100,000 bail.
Will Lohan stay in the court's good graces? If her video is any indication of her state of mind, she doesn't think she's done anything wrong. "I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system," she says in the Hollywood.TV interview.
While returning to the States for her courtroom obligations, Lohan missed her little brother Michael Lohan Jr.'s graduation from Ithaca College. "It sucks," a teary Lindsay said. "It's horrible…I'm proud of him and wish I could (have been) there."
