If waiting until Dec. 15 for a first glimpse at Lindsay Lohan's much-talked-about Playboy spread seems unbearable, well, consider this an early holiday present: The cover of the January/February issue, which features a nude LiLo straddling a red Playboy Bunny chair that strategically covers her "holy trifecta," leaked on the Internet today! (See it above in all its bootlegged glory.)
Luckily for the famous gentlemen's magazine, none of the truly revealing photos from Lindsay's nude pictorial -- which is intended as a tribute to Playboy's famous Marilyn Monroe pics -- have yet graced the Web. Those photos from the mag's inner pages won't be available for public viewing until the Lohan issue hits newsstands in late December (or, until someone leaks them, too).
According to a Playboy rep, Lindsay's cover was supposed to have been unveiled on Dec. 15's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where LiLo is set to do her one -- and only! -- interview in support of the ballyhooed pictorial. There's no word on how this leak will affect those plans.
The cover leak aside, we have to say, we wouldn't have expected Ellen DeGeneres to nab this particular exclusive. Much as we love Ellen, she has a pretty wholesome image where her TV show is concerned. (Not to mention movies -- she was Dory the fish, for crying out loud!) We would have expected LiLo's raciest career move (well, since she was fired from that Linda Lovelace biopic, anyhow) to debut on a primetime news show; something like 20/20, where Charlie Sheen introduced his "goddesses" to the public earlier this year, or Nightline, where Jesse James cried with regret over Sandra Bullock.
On second thought, though, maybe Lohan's choice of Ellen isn't as random as it seems. It's not like she chose to debut her photos while making nachos on the Rachael Ray Show. And Ellen has featured Playboy on her talk show before. A few years ago, she showed off Denise Richards' post-baby Playboy photos when the actress stopped by for a visit. And just this May, DeGeneres became a certified blackjack dealer to raise money for animal charities at the Playboy Club in Las Vegas. She documented the event on her show -- and even wore bunny ears.
So even though the Internet has gone and stolen Ellen's Playboy cover-revealing thunder, we're still interested to see what she'll have up her sleeve come Dec. 15.
