Lindsay Lohan's Probation Revoked, New Court Date Set

The troubled starlet will appear in court on Jan. 15 to find out if she's going back to jail -- again

This is going to be a very unhappy holiday season for Lindsay Lohan. Her arraignment hearing was held earlier this morning, and it was announced that her probation has in fact been revoked.

Commissioner Jane Godfrey has scheduled a hearing on Jan. 15 to discuss the probation violation. Lohan wasn't present at today's meeting, but she likely will be for this next one. It is in that hearing that Godfrey will determine whether Lohan, 26, needs to go back to jail for violating the rules of her probation.

As a quick refresher, Lohan was still on probation for her 2011 jewelry theft incident. Though she didn't have to report to a probation officer or meet any special requirements, she was required to not break any laws until the probation ends in May 2014. With almost a year and a half to go, Lohan couldn't seem to stay out of trouble.

In addition to the fact that she was arrested for assaulting a woman in New York City, Lohan got herself in some major hot water for lying to police officers after her June car accident in Santa Monica. The Santa Monica City Attorney filed three criminal complaints against Lohan, which officially count as violations of her probation.

It remains to be seen whether Lohan will go back to jail. If she does, she could be stuck behind bars for up to 245 days. Tack that to the fact that her bank accounts have been reportedly seized by the IRS and Liz & Dick got terrible reviews, and it seems safe to say that Lohan is not having a very good few months.
