Lindsay Lohan's Dad Seeking Conservatorship for Her?

The actress' father, Michael Lohan, wants LiLo to get help from someone other than her mom, Dina Lohan

If it worked with Britney Spears, why couldn't it work with Lindsay Lohan? That seems to be the mentality that Lindsay's father Michael Lohan has in his attempt to get his daughter a conservatorship.

This news comes from TMZ, who reports that Michael Lohan thinks Lindsay's "in the danger zone." Part of that is because the 26-year-old is hanging out with her mother Dina Lohan, a woman who seems to be having some serious problems of her own.

TMZ reports that Michael will meet with lawyers this week to discuss a potential conservatorship. He is clear that he doesn't want to act as her conservator because "people will pass it off as a money grab." The site reports that Michael wants a judge to choose anyone who's not him or Dina to act as her conservator.

This comes after Michael's failed intervention attempt on Oct. 19. TMZ reported that Michael had staged the incident because he believes Lindsay has "fallen off the wagon." Lindsay refused to participate and eventually cops were called.

It will be interesting to see if this conservatorship passes. Michael seems to want a lot out of it, including for his daughter to be sent back to rehab "without the influence of other people in her life" and for Dina to be forced to participate in family therapy.

We're not denying that Lindsay needs help -- but in this family, it's hard to tell who's the craziest. So, while her dad may have her best interest at heart, we're not sure he's someone who should be doling out advice.
