Fighting Words! Lindsay Lohan Slams Amanda Bynes Via Twitter

LiLo called out Bynes for running wild without retribution after she has been thrown in jail for driving offenses in the past

Even though she's been in her shoes, Lindsay Lohan has zero sympathy for Amanda Bynes. On Sunday, Lohan tweeted that the former All That star should be punished for her driving-related offenses -- just like Lohan was.

"Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?" the former child actress asked her Twitter followers.

It isn't too late for Bynes to go to jail. In addition to a DUI charge, the actress is being charged with two counts of hit-and-run, which could land her up to one year in prison if she's convicted. But that fact doesn't seem to have sunk in. Last week, Bynes was caught driving with a suspended license while allegedly smoking pot. She was then officially ordered to stop driving. By Sunday, she'd decided to ignore the judge and go for a drive anyway, at which point her car was impounded. It all reminds us of a certain other young starlet who couldn't seem to follow court orders...

Lohan's myriad legal troubles began in a very similar fashion. In 2007, the Mean Girls actress was arrested twice for DUI, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to one day in prison and three years' probation. But because Lindsay couldn't stay out of trouble, she was repeatedly charged with probation violation, and ultimately went to jail five times before her probation finally ended in March 2012. (And she'll remain on "informal probation" for two more years, thanks to that 2011 necklace-stealing debacle.)

So: is Lindsay's comment about Amanda Bynes valid? Um, not really. The reason that Bynes isn't in jail, is because Bynes hasn't gone to court yet. Lindsay is just playing the victim card yet again. No matter what trouble she gets herself into, Lohan seems convinced that the world is out to get her, and that everything that's gone wrong is someone else's fault. It's the same thing we saw her mother Dina do on her recent Dr. Phil appearance. The whole Lohan family seems to have a problem taking responsibility for their actions. It's easier to blame a legal system that favors former Nickelodeon stars over former Disney stars. Because that makes sense.

To her credit, it didn't take Lindsay long to realize that her comment seemed a tad ungrateful. She soon followed it up with a more zen tweet. "These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress," the actress reflected. "Night all."
