Is Lindsay Lohan getting her kicks from stealing?
According to one source, Lilo's extreme interest in a set of jewelry at a recent photo shoot, worth about $400,000, has made her a prime suspect now that the bling has disappeared. It seems the accessories coincidentally went missing just as Linds left.
"(Lindsay) kept going on about the jewels, asking if she could have them," an insider at the photo shoot revealed. "We all thought she was joking!"
This isn't the first time old Sticky Fingers Lohan has been accused of taking what doesn't belong to her. In 2007, Page Six reported that Linds pocketed some Louis Vuitton samples during an Elle magazine photo shoot, while last year she was accused of stealing some other chick's fur coat at a party.
"We inquired and everyone from the shoot is being questioned," Linds' peeps told People.com. "Hair, make up, stylist ... even photographers. Lindsay hopes they find the jewels. She is happy to cooperate."
A spokesperson for Elle U.K. says that they are in no way insinuating that Lindsay is the culprit. "I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine, that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photoshoot ... and the matter is now being investigated by the police," she states. "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
Elle's not rocking the boat with Lilo, but it is kind of curious, no?
