Lindsay Lohan is clearly struggling with quite a few problems. She has been named as a suspect in the theft of a pricey Rolex watch. And at last count, she is also in debt and legal trouble, not to mention she's a rumored hoarder, cutter, and/or drug addict. Are dysfunctional relationships in her past (and present) to blame? Now, many say her relationship with her Twitter followers is getting pretty dysfunctional, to boot.
Lohan's lack of Twitter "boundaries" with fans reached a whole new level, as she live-blogged her father's unexpected intrusion into her home. Around 3 p.m. Thursday, LiLo wrote this in a series of Tweets:
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister's safety, as well as my own, "my ex-dad" just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil's advocate with officers....let's not forget, that my father KIDNAPPED me from a COURT ROOM when i was 4 years old and is CRAZY. he has NEVER paid child support, and is marrying a tabloid writer and can barely spell his own name due to his "brain" that has been ruined due to HIS drug use. when will it ever end... it's been going on my whole life with him-hasn't he caused enough pain?
The actress spent the next hour or so answering questions from fans ("I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER!"), then checked in five hours later to lash out at her father once again, in a series of Tweets ending with: "pathological liar- a person who lies to the point of it being considered a disease or condition, an abnormally habitual liar = MY FATHER."
Okay. This is sad on a number of levels, the most obvious being that Lohan's own father barged into her home with a sheriff for no real reason. But we've come to expect this kind of melodramatic behavior from Michael Lohan; what's really disturbing is that Lindsay's first reaction to the intrusion was to log onto Twitter. This is a very public forum, on which she shared very private feelings in a moment of anger. Is there no therapist or friend who she can trust with her emotions more than strangers? Lindsay has some half a million followers hanging on her every tweet -- but it sounds like what she really needs is someone to talk to.
