Looks like Lindsay Lohan should stick to wearing clothes instead of making them. Her new fashion line is receiving abysmal reviews – and that's putting it lightly.
She debuted her work as fashion adviser for Emanuel Ungaro at Paris' Fashion Week on Sunday, and the press didn't waste any time running it through the ringer. And it didn't escape the notice of Lindsay herself, either -- the gossip page queen reportedly had tears in her eyes as she made her designer walk down the runway.
The language used to describe Lindsay's clothes was not gentle. Women's Wear Daily called it "an embarrassment"; The Boston Globe called it a "hot mess," and The Washington Post dubbed it a "fashion fail."
The LA Times questioned the motive behind the decision, saying: "It's difficult to know whom to blame -- Lohan for taking the job or Ungaro president Mounir Moufarrige for thinking he could install a troubled Hollywood starlet with no fashion training at a venerable French house."
While all of the press about her show was pretty vicious, one did at least take a sympathetic note with her work. The London Telegraph's critic said: "My heart goes out to Lindsay Lohan," and noted that when the fashion world gets its claws out, "it is not a pleasant experience."
