It's been weeks since we've had any Lohan-related drama, so we knew it was only a matter of time! On Monday, E! News confirmed that Lindsay Lohan's father Michael, 52, is expecting a baby with his girlfriend Kate Major, 29. That's right: Lindsay is going to be a big sister! (Again.)
According to the couple's reps, Kate is in her first trimester of pregnancy. And what does Lindsay, who is just three years younger than Major, have to say about the happy news? Her rep has only four words for the media: "We're absolutely not commenting."
Michael's relationship with Kate Major, a former Star magazine reporter, has been a sore spot in his already-damaged relationship with Lindsay. When Michael announced his engagement to Kate in April 2010, his famous daughter didn't censor her reaction.
"I'm gonna vomit!" Lindsay told Us Weekly after hearing the news. "I so didn't need that info... Yuck!"
Over the years, the Mean Girls star has tried to make peace with her ex-con, publicity-loving father. In 2010, they appeared to have reconciled, after Lindsay checked into rehab and Michael vowed to stop talking to the media. It was a temporary detente: Lindsay continued in her downward spiral, and Michael resumed talking to the media about how she needed to return to rehab.
As strained as his relationship with Lindsay is, Michael's relationship with Kate has been even worse at times. In July 2010, just months after their engagement, Major filed a domestic abuse claim against Lohan. Shortly afterward, Michael reportedly tried to retaliate by selling nude pictures of Major. In 2011, the reunited couple appeared together on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew -- but that same year, Michael was arrested three times for alleged abuse and harassment of his girlfriend. Apparently, that wasn't enough to break them apart, since they're now starting a family. We just hope this isn't a bid for a reality show.
Besides Lindsay, Michael Lohan is the father of Michael, 25, Ali, 18, and Cody, 16.
