Links We Love: Toddler Apps, Cereal Bowls and Great Reads

We scoured the Web for ohmygodIneedthat kids' stuff, must-have mommy finds and yummy recipes to make this week. Here's what we're loving right now...

A fun, educational app that will keep our toddlers entertained while we're running errards? Yes, please! Thanks to CoolMomTech for alerting us to My Very First App, based on Eric Carle's My Very First Books series. With three levels of game play for ages 1-3, 2 and up, and 3 and up, we can't think of a better way to spend $1.99.

Do your kids complain about having to eat the soggy cereal they ignored for 30 minutes while watching Diego? If so, they (and you) will love the Obol -- an ingenius divided cereal bowl that we first discovered on One Hungry Mama. The Obol lets you keep milk and flakes (or loops, or Os, or whatever your kid eats) separate, and therefore crunchy. We want it!

Pregnant mamas, forward this link to your well-meaning husbands: AskMen.com's article on Childbirth: What to Expect. Helpful tips like "Keep Snide Remarks to Yourself" and "Don't Take Her Insults Personally" will help keep you from having to kill him when you're deep in labor.

Finally, if you need an inspiring, tear-jerker read about how amazing it is to be a parent at every stage of your kids' lives, check out Anna Quindlen's amazing essay, which was published in Lisa Belkin's Motherlode blog earlier this week. Love. LOVE!
