TV Recap: Lipstick Jungle

In the middle of screening a new film that Wendy's studio is producing, Nico confesses to the girls about her affair. Wendy and Victory are apparently upset and shocked by this revelation. Victory even feels like she's been cheated on too, because Nico didn't tell them until it got to the point of a lawsuit.

It seems the case is advancing but not to the favor of Nico's side. A new witness has been added to the case. Somebody saw Kirby talking to Nico at the launch party, and saw him follow her to the ladies' room shortly thereafter. The lawyer has prepared a statement for her to sign, claiming that he followed her into the bathroom and tried to sexually harass her. When she retaliated, he decided to file this lawsuit in revenge. As long as she signs these papers, the legal team will paint him as an unwanted sexual predator and "make him go away". She second guesses signing the papers, fearing what this might do to Kirby's future. When Wendy reminds her that he obviously didn't consider her when he filed the lawsuit, she signs. Just when we think Nico is going to confess to her husband before he hears it from someone else, she holds back. They bump into one of his students at a coffee shop, a pretty girl that tells Nico how lucky she is to have Charles as her husband. A little bit odd... but maybe she's just being friendly?

Wendy gets caught up planning the party for her upcoming film Bombay Highway. Overboard, to be exact. She gives Victory the opportunity to revive her career, when she asks her to design a dress for her leading lady Chloe Jamison at the premiere party.

When Mike Harness makes a snide remark to Nico (“You like them young…don’t you?”), it clicks to her that he was the one behind everything. She stalks Kirby and finds his new workplace (bartending at some sleazy bar) to find out the truth behind him doing this. It seems that Mike convinced Kirby that he wasn’t the first of her flings just to piss him off, and kick Nico out of her position. Lies!! Kirby shows signs of reconsideration after their encounter.

Hours before the premiere, disaster is brewing. PETA is ready to protest at the party because there are going to be elephants (what’s a party without PETA!), and Chloe has just broken up with her boyfriend. Wendy hates the dress that Vic designed, and asks her to make some “minor” adjustments by adding a little jacket to cover up. Chloe is being fitted at Vic’s house and under Vic’s convincing, decides to call her boyfriend to talk out their problems. An hour later, Chloe comes out from the bathroom and is rummaging through her liquor cabinet because a girl picked up her ex’s phone when she tried to patch things up. Wendy orders her to skip the red carpet and enter from the back since the girl is too wasted, but Victory has plans of her own in order to get her dress photographed. A huge fight erupts between Wendy and Vic. Chloe sees her now ex-boyfriend with another girl and decides to take the wheels of the limo. She reverses and crashes into a cab. Next, we see Chloe taking her mug shot at the police station. What seemed like a terrible night has just gotten the film a ton of press. Instead of leaving from the side entrance, Wendy opts for the front entrance, and takes off the jacket from Chloe’s dress. Surely this photo is going to get a lot more press than the red carpet one! Vic’s original design is revealed- hopefully this press will jumpstart her career.

Good news for Nico, Kirby has dropped the charges. Hector has no clue that Nico was involved with him, and everything is back to the way it was. Charles gets a voicemail from Megan (the student from the coffee shop) while Nico listens. He acts super strange and slightly anxious, stopping the message before Nico can hear more. Charles even leaves the premiere party early…

Nico finds Kirby closing the bar and asks why he dropped the charges. When she asks what he wants, he replies “You”. Awww. How can you resist him! They walk off, hand in hand.
