Simple Braid With Micro-braid Accents

Good for These Types: Straight, Wavy

Good for These Lengths: Medium, Long

Hair Should Be: Damp

What You'll Need: Brush, rat-tail comb, two clear elastics and one hairband

Difficulty: Easy to Medium

How To Do It:

1. Pull her hair back into a basic side ponytail. Take a small, yet long section of hair from the top of the ponytail, wrap it around the rubber band and secure it with bobby pins. (See how to wrap it around a ponytail.)
2. Separate the hair into three sections and add a micro-braid into the two outer sections. To add a micro-braid, piece off a small portion of one section and simply braid it.
3. When you begin your final braid, start with the middle section (the one without a micro-braid) and pull outward. This way, your micro-braids will lay on the outside, so they are visible. Once you finish the braid, secure with a ponytail holder.
