Fat-Fighting Move #1: The Better Buns Stand Up Focuses on: Your butt and thighs

We asked Yvonne Castaneda, manager and fitness trainer at The Sports Club/LA Miami, for her best in-office exercises to trim down in no time. Her suggestion: Walk for 20 minutes on your lunch breaks and do the following moves five days a week, and you can shed up to 10 pounds this month!

Shift your weight into your feet, and lift your hips about 6 inches above your seat, keeping your knees bent. Next, bring your hips up 6 more inches, and then lower back down to just above the seat of the chair. That's one rep. Repeat this action 20 times before standing all the way up. "This move really strengthens the muscles in your legs and buns and also challenges you to use your core muscles, which are very important for better posture," explains Castaneda.
