chime in nowThe deeply spiritual aspects of yoga practice keep Sharon Gannon, co-founder of Jivamukti Yoga, feeling young. In fact, her spiritual practice keeps her from barely noticing that she's getting older. "I can look in a mirror and see my reflection, and I suppose I look older than I did some years back," says Gannon. "But the truth is I don't feel any different than I have felt at any other time in my life. Every day is filled with wonderful opportunities to do sadhana [spiritual practice]."
As for her tips for staying young, Gannon's suggestions are 90 percent spiritual, 10 percent practical: "Surrender to God. Be a happy person. Let go of anger and blame. Do all you can to uplift the lives of others. Be generous. Chant God's holy name and stay out of the sun -- wear sunscreen and carry an umbrella!"
