In a Nutshell: Based on Alice Sebold’s chilling supernatural bestseller, and directed by Lord of the Rings helmer Peter Jackson, this is a drama about a murdered girl (Saoirse Ronan) who looks out over her family (including her parents, played by Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz, and grandmother, played by Susan Sarandon) from her own heaven as the survivors try to solve the mystery of her death -- and find a reason to live.
