In the December issue of Redbook magazine, cover girl Rachel Weisz dishes about her family life. The Oscar-winning actress, who's engaged to famed film director Darren Aronofsky, says that the men in her life bring her a lot of joy -- and life lessons. She and Darren have a son named Henry, and, even though he's only 2 years old, they're constantly learning from him.
"[He's taught me] to sing and joke more -- he has an unbelievable sense of humor," Weisz says. "I’ve learned more patience; he’s definitely taught me to go more with the flow."
Though she says that she's "fallen even more in love with his father" since Henry came into their lives, Weisz admits she hasn't been in rush to walk down the aisle.
"We are engaged, and Darren and I are completely committed to 'until death do us part,' although we haven’t made it official with the paperwork yet," Rachel says. "It’s not for any political reason or that we’re waiting for this or for that, but maybe one day we will have an official ceremony."
Weisz stars in the Oscar-buzzy screen adaptation of Alice Sebold's popular book, The Lovely Bones, which is helmed by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. Weisz seemed a bit surprised to hear that the director referred to her as "fearless" in her acting.
"Really? Because I feel quite scared quite often," she says of taking on difficult movie roles. "But fear makes life more interesting."
The Lovely Bones hits theaters on January 15th, 2010; the December issue of Redbook is on newsstands now.
