Buh-Bye! Lynne Curtin Fired from 'Real Housewives of O.C.'

The reality star is "broken hearted" over being axed from the show -- but she doesn't plan to stay away from TV for long!

There will be one less surgically altered face on the new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, as jewelry designer Lynne Curtin has been dropped from the cast.

"Rumor has it that I will not be returning for 'season 6.' That rumor is true!" the 53-year-old wrote on her Facebook page.

Curtin, who joined the Bravo show in its fourth season, said she's torn up about being booted.

"I am broken hearted!" she wrote. "I was so let down the way this came about! We were the last to know! I guess Bravo has to do what they have to do! I thought we had a great relationship! I guess I was wrong! It's funny how fast offers came to us from other places! That's how we found out we were not returning! Funny how life can be!"

The mom of two will be remembered mostly for letting the cameras film her plastic surgery, her eviction from her Malibu home, and her dealing with her castmates' disapproval of her parenting practices.

But don't count Curtin and her family out for good just yet. The reality star says they may be finding some screen time elsewhere.

"Further rumor has it we will be back somewhere else on our own show!" Curtin said. "Hmmmm! I would like our new show to be totally honest! No retakes or do overs. You will see it exactly the way it really happens! Someone thinks a lot of people will tune in! That makes me feel better about things! It's important to keep a positive vibe in life no matter what is going on!"

"'Watch what happens,'" she concluded. "Life is so unpredictable! Enjoy!"

Bravo has yet to make a statement on Curtin's departure from the series, but a new family is already rumored to be moving in. According to E! News, Peggy Tanous, 41, a friend of cast member Alexis Bellino, will reportedly take Curtin's place on season 6. Tanous has two young daughters with her husband, Micah, an Internet marketing entrepreneur and infomercial host.

The new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is set to air in January 2011.
