Break Out the Martinis! Mad Men Renewed for Fourth Season

Mad Men/AMC

The third season of Mad Men looks like it's gonna deliver the goods. Betty Draper is scarily pregnant. Peggy Olsen is trolling bars for strange men and smoking reefer! But it's been hard to really get attached, knowing that the whole show could be over any minute.

Season 3 barely squeaked out this year, after AMC got into a contract scuffle with show creator Matt Weiner. Now, all you Don Draper fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief! AMC has just agreed to renew Mad Men for Season 4. That would take Mad Men, set this season in 1963, into the beginnings of the '60s counterculture revolution.

For a show so obsessed with meticulously mixed cocktails and tailored haberdashery, this could be a real change of direction. Will Sal experience a love-in and finally come out of the closet? Will Pete take LSD and realize why he's always hated his father? Will Don use slightly less hair pomade?

No details yet on how many episodes AMC has ordered for the next season, but here's to hoping that they bump the number up from the current 13. The more Mad Men, the better!
